This is a self-assessment, not a technical scan. It does not check any of your systems, so it is only as accurate as your answers. It is a fast way to see where the common gaps are.
How your grade is worked out
Each of the five areas is scored on how many of its protections you have in place, and the five scores are averaged into one grade.
- A85%+
- B70–84%
- C50–69%
- D30–49%
- FUnder 30%
A grade can’t go above C while any critical control is missing: MFA on every account, Endpoint detection & response, A ransomware-protected backup. Strong paperwork does not make up for those basics, so the grade is capped to keep it honest.
The 5 grades run from A (strong) to F (high risk). It is a guide to where the common gaps are, not a certification or a guarantee.
Common questions
No. It is a self-assessment based on your answers, and it does not connect to, scan or test any of your systems. That keeps it quick and private, but it also means it is only as accurate as your answers. A free security review checks how things are actually configured.
About two minutes. There are five questions, one for each area of your security, and each one is a quick tick-list.
Leave it unticked. Anything unticked counts as a gap, because if you are not sure, for example, that MFA is enforced on every account, that is worth finding out. It is exactly the kind of thing a review would check for you.
No. Your grade and the area-by-area breakdown are shown straight away. Your email is only needed to unlock the full report, which lists each gap, why it matters, and the practical next step.
No. A strong grade means the common core protections are in place, not that you are immune. Security is ongoing: controls need testing, monitoring and keeping up to date.
